Mr Ameen Sharif, CTO of ITnIS Consulting, has been honoured with the 11th National Teradata IT Excellence Award for his work in networking and information security.
The ICT projects designed and implemented by Mr Sharif and his team included:
- Design and implementation of a multi-site, geospatial, fault-tolerant WAN of more than 200 nodes
- Distribution of high-speed internet and intranet services using layer 3 policy routing
- Design of a Tier III data center supporting SAP enterprise applications and services
- Design of centralised security and access control, and a VoIP solution
- Hardening of the network and SAP infrastructure, and endpoint security
- Compliance of the enterprise network with ISO 27001
The Teradata IT Excellence Awards are among the most respected awards in the field because of their rigorous, audited evaluation process.
The 11th National Teradata IT Excellence Awards were announced and presented on 30 March 2013 in Islamabad.
The award recognises ICT, networking and security work for its reach, its quality and its adherence to international standards, and the ability of an individual to deliver high-end, high-capacity ICT projects.
